The Greater Washington Township Chamber of Commerce
presents
The Rick Zammer Award

Rick Zammer had been involved in the development of our Township for over 50 years. Through his unselfish devotion, Rick had become a part of the fabric of our community. He served on numerous committees, in both government and civic organizations, sat on the local planning board and board of education, and countless other community related organizations. When we think of one person who gave back to our community, we think of Rick.

The Greater Washington Township Chamber of Commerce created the Rick Zammer award to honor not only Rick, but others who go above and beyond to make a positive contribution to our community.

Congratulations to our 2026 Rick Zammer Recipient
LISA COLLINS!

Lisa began her service to Washington Township in 2001 under Mayor Randee Davidson and went on to serve under seven mayors, becoming a trusted and relied-upon leader throughout her tenure. She launched the “Movies in the Park” series— the first of its kind in New Jersey — and helped other municipalities establish similar programs. Lisa also transformed

the Super Saturday Town Fair by relocating it to Washington Lake Park, significantly expanding and enhancing the event.

In 2013, she brought the first festival to Washington Lake Park and continued to grow the park into a central hub for community life through festivals, concerts, and charitable events. Lisa also organized Washington Township’s annual Independence Day Celebration from start to finish, coordinating the parade, logistics, and fireworks display each year. Working closely with the Police and Fire Departments, she successfully delivered a safe and memorable

event enjoyed by thousands, and she is deeply grateful to the volunteers who helped make it possible.

Lisa’s dedication to youth athletics began in 1996 and includes decades of volunteer service as a coach, board president, and 16-year member of the Sports Advisory Board, where she helped develop key policies such as the Code of Conduct and Megan’s Law background checks. Her commitment to youth athletics was Inspired by her late father’s 25 years of service. Lisa also supported environmental initiatives, including Washington Township’s first Community Clean-Up Day.

Although her service concluded on December 31, 2025,

her passion for Washington Township and its residents continues to endure.

Above all, Lisa's greatest accomplishments and most cherished memories come from her family. Lisa has been married to her husband Bill for 35 years - both WTHS Class of 1985 Graduates! Their children - Victoria and her husband Peter and Tyler and his wife Casey - are their pride and joy. But nothing beats the love of her adorable Grandchildren - 5 year old Peter and 2 year old William. Of all the titles she has embraced - Wife, Mom and Mom Mom are her favorite!

Lisa is an esteemed and beloved member of the Washington Township community and we are honored to present her with the 2026 Rick Zammer Award. Congratulations Lisa - we are so proud of you.
